Meet Cello, A Text-Based Web Browser

Meet Cello, A Text-Based Web Browser 4/23/2019   Most web pages seem to have ads these days. It’s not uncommon to see websites that cram a ton of ads into one page. In an effort to combat this, I created Cello, a text-based browser for Windows. This browser  only  displays text. It does not load images or ads. A few days ago, I thought up the idea for Cello. It seemed like a good idea, so I decided to make it a reality. After about 2 hours of work, I’ve been able to release the first-ever version of Cello! Obviously, it has some issues, but I’m okay with that. My hope is that I can make Cello better by releasing new updates for it. If you want to take Cello for a spin,  click here . You can also find the Cello Browser in the “web browsers” menu. I’m really excited about the future of Cello! I hope that you enjoy my new program. Feel free to leave suggestions in the comments!

Satin Web 10 is coming soon!

Satin Web 10 is coming soon! 4/21/2019   These days, it feels like Satin Web is often ignored. I rarely mention it in the blog anymore. However, that doesn’t mean that I’ve been neglecting it. In fact, over the last month, I’ve been working on the new version of Satin Web: Satin Web 10. Satin Web 10 introduces a few new features. I will list them below. Themes: You can now change the color scheme of Satin Web. This update introduces 6 themes: blue, gray, red, mocha, purple, and orange juice.  User Interface Improvements: I have made some small improvements to Satin Web’s user interface. They aren’t particularly noticeable, but they should make the browsing experience a bit nicer. Bug fixes: I fixed a few small bugs in this update. Hooray! Satin Web 10 may not be the most exciting update to Satin Web yet, but it definitely improves the browser quite a bit. Satin Web 10 will be released to later tonight. Keep an eye out for it!

Some good news and some bad news

Some good news and some bad news 4/13/2019   Hello everybody! Today I have some good news and some bad news regarding Lynx and my other programs. Let's start out with the good news! The good news Development for Lynx 2.x has officially begun! This will be a huge update for Lynx. However, it will be a little while before it is released. The first thing I need to work on is cleaning up Lynx's 628 lines of code. Fun! On a less sarcastic note, cleaning up the code will make Lynx easier to develop. It may be a tedious process, but I believe it will be worth it. Once this is finished, I will begin making several changes to the Lynx Editor. I am unsure what I'll be adding to the editor, but I'm excited nonetheless. Now for the bad news... The Bad News Here's the problem: making Lynx 2.x will take a lot of time. I don't know if I'll have time left over to work on other projects. Don't worry: I'll still be posting in the blog. However, I might not be able to

Answering Questions About Tectra

Answering Questions About Tectra 4/9/2019   Hello everybody! I didn’t know what to post on the Tectra Blog today, so I guess I’ll just answer some questions that you might have. Why is everything on this website free? You might not realize this, but running Tectra isn’t my job. Tectra is just a fun thing I do in my free time. I don’t care if I make money from it, I just want other people to enjoy what I create. What IDE do you use for developing Tectra programs? I currently use Visual Studio Express 2017 to make Tectra programs. How much time do you put into Tectra? It depends. Most weeks I spend 5 or 6 hours working on Tectra stuff. What’s your favorite program to work on? While I enjoy working on all of my programs, I’d have to say that Lynx is my favorite. I really enjoy finding ways to improve it. That’s all the questions I could think of. If you have any unanswered questions, please comment them below. I hope you enjoyed this post!
